Germany's city of superlatives - Frankfurt am Main

The Financial District with its skyscrapers is the highlight of Frankfurt am Main, but the metropolis also offers impressive historical architecture. The skyscrapers of Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank are the most striking of Frankfurt's financial center. The breathtaking skyline is joined on the outskirts by the shapely Messeturm. The Frankfurt Book Fair is held annually in the fall on the trade fair grounds. The historic Frankfurt Opera House is also dedicated to upscale culture. From the Zeil shopping street, it is not far to the Römer, the old city hall, where successful athletes are received with honor after landing at Frankfurt Airport. Bronzes of the bull and bear pose in front of the classicist building of the stock exchange, and the Konstablerwache and Hauptwache also offer charming old architecture. In the city center is the elegant IntercityHotel Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof Süd (Frankfurt Main Station South) and on the Eisernen Steg (Iron Footbridge) you cross the Main River with a skyline panorama.
