A photographic art project by Fabio Ney und Julius Stuckmann. The basis of the conception of the artistic photographic work for the IntercityHotel Duisburg was initially the exploration of the urban space through the medium of photography. Hereby, documentary-style images were created which, at first, served as an approach to represent Duisburg but then went on to become raw material for an experimental photographic working method. Hereby, the focus lies on Duisburg as a cultural area and on the Rhine as an important aesthetic element of the city. In the course of the project, motifs found locally were printed and reworked in the studio. Thus, two-dimensional images which show a three-dimensional space create spatial models in turn.
